Was in the area and decided to try it out after the remodel. Place looks great. Love the pizza but I hate to say this but they put too much sausage. I never complain about too much meat but this was too much for me, that's why the 4 stars. It just took away from the pepperoni. Overall I would still recommend this pizza. I've been coming here for years and will be back. The shrimp salad for the wife was crazy good and she didn't complain.
Great pizza loaded with toppings. We always order ours extra crispy so that the middle is cooked enough. Very good value when you realize how much food is actually there. The leftovers cooked in a toaster oven are even more delicious. Be patient on a Friday or Saturday night as they get packed.
Have been coming to Chico's since the early 1980's. Never disappoints! This pizza is one of a kind! Love the crust and the toppings are always fresh! Must try this place! Worth the drive east!
Well... I fought it for decades, but all the stars aligned up and we finally tried this iconic ML pizza joint. I kept telling myself over the years I would not like their ridiculously 'over-topping-ed' creations. They won. We liked our pie a lot. While I certainly would not make wheels like this a regular dining occurence, it really is a decadent every once in while flirtation. I can't even categorize them in any specific pizza style? They are just....them. A big thing that stands out (to me), is the ground beef they use is clearly not some pre-fab nuggets from a frozen bag. It's the real deal. We went with a medium, and the best I could do was three of the smaller slices. The big, meaty wings they have did effect that, for sure, but one would always think that two healthy--and hungry--adults could finish 1 medium pizza w/6 breaded wings. The rest of it sits in our fridge, and mocks us for being the weasel weenies we are. I must turn in my pizza-parlor-man card. Oh the shame...
If you can get over a long wait - it is soooo worth it. The order and pickup (at the window that is a bit confusing) could be better but this is small town pizza at its best. The interior is clean and very - down home. It is what it was decades ago. I remember going here 30 years ago and it was nearly the same. What IS worth the cost is the quality. Highly recommend -but be ready for LONG waits, even if you call in, and a somewhat confused pick up system.
